Cirrus SRS Begins Taking Orders
Ted — Sat, 01/19/2008 - 10:35
Cirrus Design, makers of the ever popular "SR" series of aircraft, equipped with glass panels and parachutes announced this week that they are now taking orders for their SRS, light sport offering. The SRS has been adapted from the german built FK Polaris aircraft, and will be modified to suit the needs of Cirrus Design.
Now you can get your foot in the door early, for a $5k down payment that is... Their approach seems to be similar to that of Cessna's pre-order offerings for its new LSA the SkyCatcher. Should be interesting to see who posts the better numbers. Cessna's got a definite head start but you can't argue with the benefits of being able to transition straight from your initial training in an SRS to a more Cross-Country inclined SR22.
