Stratos Ready for Oshkosh

In spite of tough times, several VLJ companies are still going strong. One of those, Stratos Aircraft, is bringing a full-scale cabin mock-up to Oshkosh and hoping for some constructive feedback from potential customers.

For more information about their Oshkosh appearance, check out their press release. The Stratos 714 is unique among the Very Light Jet candidates. While some jets seem focused more on air taxi operations or the training market, the 714 is billed as an owner-pilot, personal jet. It is intended to fill with bags, passengers and gas and go 1500 nm at 400 kts. These are very impressive numbers, but it's looking like they are realistic goals.

We'll be at Oshkosh next month and you can bet we'll be checking out the Stratos display. We'll let you know what we think.
