More T-6 News

I recently wrote about Hawker Beechcraft's success with the T-6. I figured that'd be the extent of the T-6 news for a while, but I was wrong. A recent HBC Press Release mentions that yet another customer will be taking delivery of T-6's.

This time it's the Royal Moroccan Air Force taking delivery of 24 T-6C aircraft. The previously unheard of 'C' model has the same heads up display and advanced avionics of the US Navy's 'B' model, but it also includes wing hardpoints for external fuel tanks. The aircraft will be replacing a fleet of T-34s and T-37s.

I bet Moroccan pilots are excited for their new aircraft...I would be. It'd be great to have the longer legs that external fuel tanks will offer with that aircraft. I'm sure that HBC isn't complaining about the $185.3 million deal either.
