This Weekend's Crazy Video

I realize this is the second somewhat crazy aviation video I posted lately. I promise I'm not some adrenaline junkie or anything, but some of these are just too much fun not to post. I definitely don't recommend trying this at home, but it sure looks cool.

There are a couple practical notes to glean from this though:

1. Red Bull has a couple Blanik L-13 gliders...good taste.
2. This stunt took some precision formation flying to pull off. Their pilots probably have a lot of training and practice doing it. I love formation flying and recommend it...but only after you get the necessary training, come up with a good mission plan and take proper safety precautions.
3. I never thought it could be safe to open a Blanik's canopy in flight like this. It appears that it can be done safely. (Again, not recommended at home.)
4. The guy with the parachute has either guts or a lack of brains.

Help me out here, can you think of any other reasons to justify this video? If not, I hope you still enjoyed it!
