First Pipersport Delivered

Piper proudly announced the first delivery of a Piper Sport at Sun 'n Fun last week. The lucky owners are a pair of former airline pilots and a veterinarian/veteran pilot. It looks like a really fun plane to fly and I absolutely understand their excitement. Congratulations to Piper on your first delivery!

I hope Piper continues with deliveries at a steady pace. Cessna delivered a single Skycatcher, but then halted further deliveries because their foreign supplier wasn't ready to deal with full production rates. As of the day Piper's first LSA was delivered, Cessna had issued a press release promising efforts to deliver some more Skycatchers soon. I hope Piper had the foresight to avoid such silly problems.
