My Next Flying Job

I need to get myself a couple type ratings...fast! A friend just sent me an article about Nick Popovich and his company, Sage-Popovich Inc. What do they do? Repossess aircraft...big ones...like 747s.

I didn't believe this story at first; it just seemed too fantastic. It makes sense though. With home foreclosures at a seemingly all-time high and airlines struggling around the world, there must be some owners that just can't afford to make payments on their multi-million dollar aircraft.

According to their website, Sage-Popovich Inc. also goes by SPI and is headquartered in Valparaiso, near my house. I might have to stop by for an interview (and mention that I'm available to help recover PC-12s anytime they need a pilot.)

I can't imagine anyone who could read this story and not get excited. The only logical thing that could happen now is for them to make a TV series about this company and let SPI replace CSI. I can't wait to watch! How about you?
