Is Your Representative a Member of the GA Caucus?

I just got a note from the AOPA mentioning that with the start of the new Congress, it's necessary for the General Aviation Caucus to be re-established. Congressmen Sam Graves (R-MO) and John Barrow (D-GA) are leading this effort. The AOPA message suggested that I contact my Congressman, Representative Jeff Miller from Florida's 1st district, and urge him to join this effort.

I figured that was a great idea, so I decided to write him. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it took all of about 5 minutes to send him a message and get a reply confirming that my message had been received.

It was actually a simple processes that started by going to Representative Miller's website. He had a contact form that I was able to use to write him a letter.

The GA Caucus is critical for the preservation the aviation freedoms that we love in the US. The Caucus had 125 members in the last congress and helped do some important things like fighting the threat of user fees.

I expect that if you're reading this you probably feel that GA is a pretty important thing. Please take a few minutes to write your Representative and encourage him or her to join a group that will focus on protecting GA in Congress.

For more information, the Caucus has a Dear Colleague letter to which you can refer your Representative.
